3.5 starsAt first, I wasn't really into it, but as I made progress with it, I got sucked in. Some parts will make you scream in terror, especially if you are a feminist. But every girl/woman should feel the same. This is primary a work of fiction, but unfortunately women were treated like that in some way and they still are. We are viewed as a walking vagina for some men. To them, our only purpose in life is to bear children. And make them a sandwich. But I'm not gonna get into that now.
The Handmaid's Tale is not perfect, but its a quick read that will leave you with sour taste in your mouth. To some, it might be a wake up call...
It could have been written better, but overall it's a good book worth reading at least once.
